Masuri S. N.: Masuri S. N.,

eigentlich M. bin Salikun, indonesischer Dichter, * Singapur 11. 6. 1927; bedeutendster malaiischer Dichter der Gegenwart und führendes Mitglied der »Angkatan Sasterawan 50« (Literarische Gruppe 1950). Masuri S. N, dessen poetisches Werk anfangs nachhaltig von der indonesischen Bewegung »Pudjangga Baru« (Neuer Dichter) beeinflusst wurde, entwickelte in bewusster Ablehnung klassischer literarischer Traditionen einen neuen gegenwartsbezogenen Stil.

Werke: (indonesisch): Lyrik: Rote Wolken (1958); Mannigfache Stimmungen (1962;) Bittere Blüten (1967).
